No SEO Lock in Contracts, Ever

We offer flexibility to our SEO clients in Queensland by never locking them in or obligating them to continue. Whether you need our services on a short or long-term basis, our focus is to provide you with value. The nature of SEO means it can take time before improving your online position, so to yield the best results, we do give a minimum time recommendation. Why Choose Extension Group For Your SEO Services in Queensland?

With all the different SEO agencies in Australia offering their services to businesses in Queensland, what sets Extension Group apart from the rest?

We Don’t Sabotage Your Businesses’ SEO When You Leave

The vast majority of Queensland-based SEO agencies try to stretch out the amount of time you are with them, especially if you are on a rolling contract. In addition, some SEO and digital marketing agencies have been known to undo the work that they have done to boost your SEO ranking when you leave. Why? Because when your position drops, they can say that you should hire them again.

At Extension Group, if you have paid us for SEO services and decide to leave for any reason, we will never undo the work we have done. We operate from a highly ethical business model and always do the right thing for our customers.

We Don’t Sell SEO to Businesses in the Same Industry in the Same Service Areas

Since there are limited positions on the first Google results page, we can’t offer all the “mechanics in Queensland,” for example, the first position in a Google search. Doing this would not be fair to our customers––and we aim to achieve the best results for everyone.

No SEO Budget Blowouts

When we quote you a price and estimate a timeline, we keep our word. On rare occasions, complex website SEO can end up taking longer than originally thought. In this case, we are clear about any additional costs upfront and give you time to pay while we continue to work, with no surprise costs. The price we offer you upfront is the price you can expect to pay at the end.

Although SEO is our flagship product, we offer a wide range of services to help your business in Queensland succeed, including website development, software development, graphic design, and more––just ask.

Extension Group Play The Long Game With Your SEO in Queensland

We do things the right way and get you the results you need.

Our 7 Step SEO Process for Businesses in Queensland

Analysing your competitor’s website and marketing strategies and then improving on what they are doing is vital to the success of your SEO campaign. After undertaking a comprehensive review of your competitor’s website, we build an effective plan to outperform them at every step.

Incorporating your uniquely generated keywords, we also craft engaging content for your website. High-quality, SEO rich content helps your customers and search engines understand your offering on a deeper level and assists in positioning your website up top in search results.

We know what it takes to achieve solid SEO and Google rankings. Therefore, we maintain a regular update schedule to ensure your website content is relevant and shows your customers and Google that you are constantly investing in your business.

So we can provide you with outstanding results; before we can provide a quote or do any SEO work, we need to audit your existing website. For example, what are your business’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for growth? With this information, we can start a roadmap for targeting your desired demographic.

Considering elements such as image optimisation, improving the loading time of your website and internal link structure helps search engines read your website faster and more efficiently.

Using a combination of search volume, short-tail, and long-tail keywords enables us to select the most relevant keywords for your business.

We remove all negative or broken backlinks on your current website and begin an organic, “white hat” link building strategy to grow your website’s authority in your industry and service areas.

Who in Queensland would benefit from SEO?

First off, SEO is generally for business websites to attract more customers. Now, SEO is great and provides a lot of value for some types of businesses, but for others there wouldn’t really be much need. For example, a petrol station would probably not benefit from SEO much, as there are so many of them, all with basically the same price, and people don’t shop around for different brands of fuel, as its all the same more or less.

On the other hand, a business that provides a professional service such as an arborist, lawyer, financial planner or bookkeeper would benefit greatly from SEO. The reason for this is, when people are looking for these types of services, they literally open up Google on their smartphone or desktop computer, and type ‘’accountant queensland’’, and search for a business they want to deal with from there. This is also true with trade services. Electricians, air conditioning technicians, builders, motor mechanics and many others rely heavily on being found online, as their customers search Google in the exact same way.

So now we know who would benefit from SEO in Queensland, lets go over why SEO is so important. You see, over 90% of all local transactions start with an online search. This means that to really succeed in business and get a constant flow of inbound customers, its extremely important for businesses to be visible online. Furthermore, nearly 80% of people who search for businesses services don’t scroll past the first page of the SERP. This means that if businesses want to be found by their customers, they absolutely need to have SEO done to their website if they want a chance to be on the first page of search results.

4 things to look for in an SEO company in Queensland

Just Googling ‘’SEO Queensland’’ and picking a business on the first page of the SERP is not going to guarantee you that the agency you pick is going to deliver for your business. Below are 4 tips from Extension Group for how to select the right agency for your business.

1. They are not a 1 man show

Many SEO agencies that rank well for different search terms and SEO keywords are businesses that are run by 1 person. The general giveaway is that the owner of the business has plastered their face all over their website, in the hopes that it convinces potential customers that they are more trustworthy, or that they will get a more personalized experience.

If the business was servicing one or two SEO clients, then that’s great. However chances are they have a lot more clients than that, as they can be found on the first page for things like ‘’SEO Queensland’’. The problem with an agency like this is 2 pronged. First, a 1 man business cannot service multiple customers efficiently without having to outsource their work overseas. This results generally in poor levels of work, and no value for your business. The other issue is that if they don’t have a lot of customers, do you really want to trust your businesses SEO plan which is going to grow your business with 1 person who cant scale their own business?

For these reasons, it’s a good idea to work with an SEO agency (such as Extension Group) who have many highly qualified SEO consultants who can work on your businesses success as a team.

2. They have real world business experience, not just good at improving Google SERP's

We completely agree that these SEO agencies that you find when searching for ‘’SEO Queensland’’ know how to rank a website in Google’s SERP, as they have done it themselves with their own website. However, SEO is more than just getting your rankings higher or getting you more traffic, its about connecting paying customers to your business. With this being said, its important that you deal with an SEO agency that has real world business experience.

Most SEO agencies are experts in SEO and digital marketing. This is good, however the vast majority of SEO consultants and agencies are of an IT background, not business. They don’t have first hand experience in suppliers not paying their accounts on time, customers not being able to access their business because of roadworks outside their front door, a change in state or federal legislation that can negatively (or positively) affect their cashflow, or any other real world situation. For these reasons, its important that when selecting an SEO agency for growing your business, that you use one that has real world business experience, not just IT and SEO.

Extension Group are uniquely placed in the SEO industry, as we originally came from a B2B telecommunications provider, who helped real businesses customers navigate real world problems that affected their business.

3. Their timelines for delivering results are realistic

SEO is not a fast process. Sure, some dodgy agencies can promise you guaranteed results in 30 days, or 3 months, but the reality is, it can take a lot longer than that to get your desired results. How long exactly? Well, how long is a piece of string? Depending on your businesses SEO requirements, it can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months, or more.

SEO is a long and slow process for a few reasons. The main one however is that Google needs to read billions of websites a day, and if any of these have had changes made, their position in the SERP will be adjusted accordingly. Google cannot read all of the websites on earth in one day, and correctly place each website in the SERP where they need to be. It takes a long time for Google to be able to rank websites correctly as there are countless factors at play which help determine your websites ranking.

So to cut a long story short, you need an SEO agency who is going to give you realistic timelines as to when the SEO will perform for your business. SEO agencies that provide correct timelines understand what’s involved in ranking a website on Google.

4. They can get you a result before you make a large financial commitment

SEO is a big financial commitment for a small business if the results that are promised aren’t delivered. For example, if you sign up with an agency to pay $2,000 a month over a 12 month period, for results that get you a 3 fold in sales, then that is a great investment. But what if you paid the $24,000 over the year only to not get the results you were looking for? You have just lost a lot of money.

This is why it is important to deal with an agency that, if they make big promises about their ability to deliver results, that they also have skin in the game, especially when dealing with the high price of SEO. The vast majority of SEO agencies in Australia charge a setup fee, and the monthly fee up front when you wont see results for months. It is hard to know who will deliver the results though, so it is a big risk.

At Extension Group, we allow customers to defer between 50% and 100% of the monthly payable fee until you get the result you were aiming for. We do this because we understand that for people who are first doing SEO for their business, it can seem like a large risk.

What is SEO?

SEO means “Search Engine Optimisation”. SEO is the practice by which changes are made to your website to help Google and other search engines read your website better. Faster recognition results in potential customers being directed to your website quicker since it appears higher in search results.

SEO can be a complex process. Not only does the wording on your website need to be highly relevant to what your customers are searching for, but other off-page work needs to be done to help increase your website’s position online. For example, adding relevant backlinks from high authority websites to yours will help increase your website’s authority for any keyword, further helping improve your position.

Why Does My Website Need SEO?

SEO is the number one factor that helps place your website on the first page of a Google search. You can have the best product in the world at the best prices, but if you haven’t applied SEO (especially if there is a lot of competition for your targeted keywords), your website will rarely or never be seen by your potential customers.

There is a saying, ‘’If you want to hide a dead body, put it on the second page of a Google search’’. So few people go to the second page of a Google search to find what they are looking for. Usually, they will only look at the first five or six results and either click on one or go back and do another search.

SEO is an essential tool for anyone who wants to succeed in their industry, now and in the future.

How does SEO work?

If you are looking to improve your position in online searches as a business in Queensland, then you need an agency like Extension Group to help with your SEO. The fact that you are reading this means that you have searched for SEO Queensland and found this page. So if you’re wondering how our page came up in a search result, it’s because we applied SEO to our website to improve our position for such searches.

SEO means Search Engine Optimization, and it refers to optimizing your website in a way that helps search engines such as Google help rank your website for users search queries. So, how do the search engines work? Search engines such as Google have highly complex algorithms that help determine which websites should be ranked in various positions, based on the many different variables of the algorithm. Up until September 24 2019, the algorithm used by Google was called PageRank, however that has since expired. Some of the updates during this period included Google Panda, Google Penguin, Google Hummingbird and Google RankBrain.

Nowadays, the ranking system used by Google is made up of many different algorithms. These different algorithms look at a lot of different factors, such as the web page’s content, usability, location, sources of information and more to help determine the relevance of the said page to a user’s search query.

Google have thousands of trained experts around the world who test live searches, and provide feedback, in the quest to constantly improve the algorithms used in Google’s search engine.

The key factors that help determine what results are given to a user according to Google are:

Meaning of the users search query

Relevance of webpages in the index

The quality of content on webpages that are relevant to the search query

The usability of the websites

The context of the search, such as the users location, search history and more

SEO provides high quality traffic for Queensland businesses, and out performs paid advertising in many ways

SEO provides a much higher quality of traffic to your website than advertising for 3 main reasons. The first reason is that advertising pops up on peoples phone/computer when they are doing something else completely unrelated to what product or service you are offering. For example, if your business is an electrician in Queensland, and the person you are advertising to was searching for an electrician in Queensland some time earlier in the day or week, your advert might pop up on their screen hours or days later while they are doing something completely different. This can also mean that you’re advertising to someone who has already bought what they searched for. Basically, advertising is reaching out to your potential customers when they aren’t looking for what you’re offering.

The second reason that SEO provides higher quality traffic that advertising is that the general public have become weary, or almost offended at ads popping up on their screen for things that they have searched for or spoken about in the past. A lot of online advertising nowadays relies on reading the search history of users to help determine the type of advertising to send them. The problem with this is that people feel violated that their privacy has been breached, as their private search history was used to serve up an advert. This can have a negative effect on the effectiveness on advertising in this way.

The third and most important reason that SEO provides higher quality traffic than paid advertising is the fact that when someone searched for something in Google, they are actually looking for it. If they are looking for an electrician in Queensland, they will click on one of the top few results in their search query, and make contact if they feel the business can provide the service they need. SEO is by far the best form of customer acquisition when put next to all types of advertising, because with SEO you are not visible to the customer until they are actively looking for your services.

Can I do SEO for my Queensland based website myself?

Of course you can! SEO is something that anybody can spend time on learning, and apply to their website themselves to improve their rankings. However, learning SEO can be quite complex and difficult, so there would be a few things to consider before investing hundreds if not thousands of hours needed to be able to master search engine optimization.

To help understand why doing SEO yourself if you are not highly experienced in it can be an issue, you should think of SEO as mechanical work on your car. Yes, you can learn how to do your own mechanical work, and if there is something that you don’t know how to do, you can simply check on Google or watch a video about it on Youtube. This is fine for simple issues such as needing to change a wiper blade, fill your washer fluid or even changing your oil. For the larger and more complex issues such as fixing the timing or configuring the computer system on a new model Mercedes Benz, it is a much better and safer idea to hire a professional with years of experience. With this being said, SEO is very much the same. You can do simple things yourself such as update H tags, edit content on your website and so on (if you have the knowledge in editing your own website on its current CRM), but when it comes to the more complex and important issues, it is a good idea to have a professional SEO agency do the work for you.

Example of doing your own SEO

Lets take a look at an example of why it would be dangerous to your business if you attempted SEO yourself on a more complex issue, and caused detriment to your SERP rankings. Lets say that you have a website for your business as a tax accountant in Queensland. Through your website, you get 20 new customers a month, who generate you an average of $300.00 each. In this example, your website is generating you $6,000 a month in new customers. Now, lets say that you know that there is a big market for tax accountants in Queensland, and you want to improve your rankings across various search terms, so you can multiply the amount of new customers you get a month. So, you decide to do some research online about how to learn SEO, and you begin to make changes to your website accordingly.

Potential issues of doing SEO on a website trying to rank for Queensland search terms yourself

A couple of weeks pass after you made changes to your website, and Google has now begun to index the changes. However, you notice that your rankings have fallen. They have fallen so bad as a matter of fact that you are now getting zero contact from new customers. What happened?

It could be many things, however here are some examples of mistakes commonly made:

  • You might have done new backlinks to your website in a way that Google sees as spam, causing a Spammy backlinks to your website

  • Duplicate content on the same page

  • Content that is a duplicate of a competitors

  • Accidentally no indexed your websites pages

  • Used the wrong keywords in your content

  • Applied the incorrect H tags to content on your pages

  • Created redirects that go nowhere (when changing the slug of a page)

  • Broken external and internal links

  •   Low content word count

  • Page titles too short or too long

  • Multiple H1 tags on a given page

  • No meta descriptions

The list of potential issues goes on and on. The point is, if you are going to do SEO yourself, it is very important that you spend enough time learning all aspects of SEO before you apply it to your website that is already functioning.

So, should I do SEO on my Queensland based business website myself?

When learning SEO, it is a good idea to start with a new website that can’t cause you a financial detriment if you fail at your attempts. This way, you are free to try out new things, and you can’t cause yourself or your business any issues. Learning SEO can take a long time before you are at a level that you can get good results for competitive keywords. The main reason for this is, SEO is a very lucrative industry if you can do it right. In saying this, the industry has attracted a lot of competition fighting for your business, so to rank for a high-volume keyword can be quite difficult, because you are up against experts with many years of experience trying to rank for the same term. So to summarise we would recommend if you have only minor changes that need to be done on your website, its possible to learn how to do online. However for more complex projects or ones that involve a business that is already generating money, we recommend that you use an experienced SEO agency.

Extension Group have many years of experience in SEO, in working with local, national and international businesses with achieving their traffic and SEO goals. Speak to one of our SEO consultants today about how we can help with your SEO plan.

Is there any value in doing blog posts for my Queensland based business website?

Definitely. Depending on the industry that your business is in, keeping an up to date blog on your website can work wonders for SEO. Blog writing have come leaps and bounds since its beginnings, where stay at home mums and travelers wrote blogs about their day to day life, in the hope that they gain a lot of followers. Nowadays, blog writing gives your website an opportunity to rank for different search terms that your normal website content doesn’t target. For example, if you are an accountant in Queensland, and your main website pages rank for ‘’tax accountant Queensland’’, you could write blog posts that rank for other terms such as ‘’how much does a tax return cost to get done in Queensland’’, without effecting the content on your main site.

Writing blog posts allow you to answer questions that consumers have which they search for online, and bring those users to your website. With blog writing, you can literally write as many as you like, so you can not only answer consumers questions, but also attract them to your website by ranking for the terms that they are searching for.

Important information for writing a blog for your Queensland based business website

Writing a blog to help with SEO isn’t simply writing about a topic as if it is a kind of diary. No, there are some basic rules that you will need to follow if you want to get good SEO results. Some of these rules include:

  • If you have images on your blog, ensure you include alt tags

  • Limit the amount of topic tags you use

  • Optimise the meta description of your blog post page for better click through

  • Make sure you optimize the page to be mobile friendly

  • Ensure you organise your topics in clusters, don’t have different subjects of content all over the page

  • Use only 1 to 2 longtail keywords on each blog post

  • Make sure you use the keywords strategically throughout your blog post, don’t just use the word 100x in the hopes that Google will rank you better

  • Link to related blog posts if possible

What is better, SEO or PPC (Pay Per Click) for my Queensland based business?

This is not a simple question with a simple answer. Both forms of online visibility in search engines have their benefits, and their downsides. So, lets begin with PPC, or Pay Per Click advertising on search engines.

PPC advertising for your Queensland based website

PPC provides businesses the ability to simply pay money for every time a person clicks on an advert in search results for their business. How this works is, the business will offer a price (or bid) to have a link to their website visible in the SERP of any given search query. The more the business bids, the higher up in the search results the businesses website will appear. So for example, if the business is an electrician in Queensland, and the current bid to be on the 1st page of Google for the search term ‘’electrician Queensland’’ is $20.00, then if the business bids $20 and someone clicks on the link to their website, then the business pays Google $20.00.

Paying per click is a fast way to get visibility (as opposed to SEO), however this method can become quite expensive, and sometimes without results. There are a couple of reasons for this. First of all, PPC has a lower click through rate than SEO. That means that every time people search the term ‘’electrician Queensland’’, more people click on natural results in the SERP than the adverts. The CTR varies from city to city and different industries, but the general consensus is that let people click on the ads.

More importantly, if the bid price for being on the first page of Google is $5.00, its only a matter of time until a bidding war starts with one of your competitors, and the price per click can increase to $20, $30, or even $50 or more. If this happens, then the return on investment for your PPC campaign can plummet. The other issue with PPC is that when you stop paying for ads, you stop receiving new leads. You are only on the first page of Google by paying for ads, so you need to understand that you will only be getting new business as long as you keep the campaign running.

These are just some of the reasons that Extension Group do not offer our Queensland customers PPC advertising, because it can be unpredictable and the ROI can fluctuate too much.

SEO for your Queenland based website

SEO is a much different type of way of getting more visibility online for your Queensland based business than PPC. With PPC, you are paying for adverts with Google, however with SEO, you are making changes to your website, so that Googles search engine can read your website better, and improve your natural rankings accordingly.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. With this being said, your website is being optimised so search engines will favour it over your competitors when people search for keywords relevant to your business.

SEO does not provide instant results in the way of improving your online visibility like PPC does. SEO takes a long time before the work you do yields page 1 search results. This is mainly due to 2 factors. The first is that you physically have to do the work to optimise your website. This can take a bit of time, depending on how much work is needed. However once that work is complete, you then need to wait for Google to index those changes, then wait for your rankings to improve. This waiting can be months in some cases, as Google has billions of websites it is constantly analysing, so it will take time for them to update your rankings accordingly.

On the plus side of SEO, the long term benefits far outweigh the short term benefits of PPC. With PPC, once you stop paying for adverts, you stop receiving those page 1 ‘’rankings’’, and thus lose your new customer contact. However with SEO, yes it can take months before you hit the first page of the SERP, but when you do, if you stop investing in SEO, your website can stay on the first page for months or even years. Furthermore, the ‘’cost per click’ doesn’t go up like it does with PPC if you get into a bidding war with your competitors for the top places.

It’s for this long term benefit that we only deal in SEO when it comes to digital marketing here at Extension Group. SEO is the only way that your business can get true online visibility and authority, and provide you a healthy flow of new customer contact in our view.

The process of working with Extension Group for your SEO in Queensland

If you are interested in having Extension Group provide SEO services for your Queensland based business, the following is an outline of what it would be to have us work with you:

  • First of all, once you make contact with us, we would have a general discussion about your business, what it is you do in more detail, talk about some of the challenges you are having with marketing or new customer intake in Queensland and other areas you target, and also discuss with you what it is you would like to achieve by doing SEO. This might me that you want to get contacted by more customers for a certain type of service you offer, or gain online visibility in a different geographical location so you can expand your business.

  • Then, we would run an audit of your existing website to see where you currently sit in the SERP for various Queensland based search terms (if it’s a local campaign). We would show you what positions you are for what keywords, but also we could show you the potential search volume every month for these terms (and other ones that are relevant to your business). With this information, we could work out an outline of an SEO plan.

  • Once we have worked out the outline of your SEO plan, we would then go away for a couple of days and build a highly detailed proposal for you. This proposal would include the work that we would do in regards to your website and changes we would make to help with your SEO, how long it would take to get you the desired result, and the cost involved.

  • If you decide to go ahead with us, we would begin work straight away, and you would continue operating your business as normal. With Extension Group, we do all of the work for you, as opposed to other agencies who ask you to provide content for your website and so on. As we complete work on your SEO plan, we will provide regular updates of the work completed, and any improvements on your positions in the SERP.

Give Extension Group a call today on 1800 979 768 to discuss your needs, as we would be happy to have an obligation free chat about how we can help improve your SEO.

Better click through rates for higher conversions

When you apply good SEO to your website, one of the things that are done is improve the call to actions. With better call to actions on your website, you are more likely to get higher conversion rates which equals more income.

The best long term marketing strategy for 2022

In 2022 ranking high on the SERP across relevant terms will have to be the best marketing strategy you can undertake. The main reason for this is that SEO produces leads of potential customers in Queensland actually searching for your products, whereas just spending that money on advertising might get you sales now, but when you stop spending on ads, you stop getting new customers.

Is applying SEO to my Queensland based business a 1 time thing, or an ongoing process?

SEO is the process of making changes to your website to help readers and search engines understand more about your website, and in turn help improve your rankings for relevant keywords. With this being said, once you have done SEO to your website and you are ranking better than your competitors in Queensland for the keywords that you have chosen, there is no way of knowing how long your website will remain in that position. There are 3 main factors that can influence your rankings in a negative way. 1, if you did some black hat methods to try and trick Google into improving your rankings unnaturally, 2, Google made changes to their algorithm, or 3, your competitors have applied SEO to their website in a way that placed their website higher on the SERP than yours.

In the situation where your Queensland competitors applied SEO to their website and are now outranking you, this is very common as more and more businesses are starting to see the value of SEO. So to answer the question ‘’is SEO a 1 time thing, or an ongoing process?’’, SEO is an ongoing process if you want to remain high on the SERP.

It doesn’t matter how good your SEO is, if your competitors are investing heavily into SEO themselves, the agency doing the work is going to analyse their competitors website (or yours), and ‘’one up’’ your website in an attempt to out rank you. So to cut a long story short, SEO can be seen as a tit for tat battle between businesses for the top spots in the SERP.

How long does SEO last?

This is a difficult question to answer, so we will look at different aspects of this. First off, if you applied SEO to your website and you were a local electrician in a small town without many competitors, its safe to say that your positions on the first page will last a lot longer than say an electrician in the Sydney CBD where hundreds of electricians are competing for the same spots on the first page of the SERP.

Also an important factor to take into consideration is how heavily you invested into the SEO on your website in the first place. For example if to improve your positions in the SERP for Queensland based searches you upgraded your websites content quite comprehensively, including improving the site structure and other off page factors, and also had a lot of high quality backlinks done, then that’s going to last a lot longer than a website who just had a few spammy backlinks attached to it, and they got lucky and landed on the first page.

Its always a good idea to continue investing in SEO once you are in a good position online, as it can help cement your position, and keep the customers coming in on an ongoing basis. If you fall off the first page of the SERP, it can have a big impact on your bottom line.

How often do the rankings of my website change in Queensland based searches on Google?

Your rankings in the SERP are going to change, sometimes even multiple times in 1 day. You see, Google and other search engines are made up of highly complex algorithms that are used to work out which websites to provide users in the SERP when doing a search online for any given keyword or search term. To do this, there are thousands of factors that Google and other search engines need to consider.

As an example, Google will help determine the position of a website in the SERP by their content, internal link structure, usability and so on. However Google then needs to compare the data about 1 website with all others in their index. So if you make changes to your website which can effect your position in the SERP for Queensland based searches in a positive way, then the opposite is true when your competitors make changes to their website. If your competitors apply SEO to their website and Google positions them higher than you, then you are going to move down the SERP.

There are countless reasons that Google make changes to ranking positions in the SERP, and because of this, your website can and will change positions (even slightly) on a daily or weekly basis.

On a positive note though, if you have applied SEO to your website correctly and you are positioned high in the SERP, Google will generally not push you down multiple pages for no reason. If you are in a high position because of doing SEO correctly, it would take a lot for a newer website with less authority to take that position in the SERP away from you.

Why is Extension Group more expensive that some other cheaper Queensland based agencies I have seen?

When searching for an SEO agency in Queensland, you may come across some businesses offering SEO services for $100, $200 or $300 a month. These businesses promise to deliver top quality SEO services, even guarantees of getting you onto the first page of Google, for a fraction of the price that a decent agency like Extension Group would charge.

It may seem appealing to give these SEO agencies a try, as from a price point and what they tell you, the only difference between these other agencies and Extension Group is that we are more expensive.

Unfortunately, SEO is not the same as buying a kilogram of flour. For example, if you went to Coles and saw a kilogram of flour for $2.00, and then went to Woolworths and saw the same flour for $1.00, it’s a no brainer that you would buy the flour from Woolworths as it is the same product but for half the price.

But SEO agencies are completely different. SEO involves a lot of work, deep thinking work, from people that understand the technical requirements to make SEO work, and also have a great understanding of the English language (for SEO clients in Australia). For these people to do the work, they need to be paid at least an hourly rate. With the current rate for an SEO expert in Australia sitting around $100-$150 an hour, there is no way that an agency offering SEO services for $300.00 a month can provide any meaningful work.

Extension Group on the other hand will carefully calculate the work required to rank your website for the keywords you want, and then give you the price. SEO seems expensive at a first glance, however when you realise the value that it can provide your business in the way of new customers, its actually a very cheap investment.

So in summary, Extension Group are more expensive than these few hundred dollar a month agencies simply for the fact that we are actually providing the SEO work that is needed for you to rank for your desired keywords, and because there is a lot of work involved, the cost that we quote you is a direct reflection of that work needing to be done.
